Fauxpocalypse

Well...it's officially December 21, 2012 (in my timezone). And...everything appears to be normal.

If there is a zombie attack or meteor strike taking place, I can't hear it from my house (thank goodness). I've been warning people about the apocalypse and the world ending for a few years now, so I'm sure people are happy that my predictions were incorrect.

On an even happier note, gas prices in Atlanta are decreasing...the weather has been amazing until today...and soon just about every school will be on Winter Break :)

I've only been saying these things because the world seems to get crazier and crazier every day. Whenever I do watch the local news (which is maybe three times a year), it's all so sad and really unbelievable...it would only make sense that the world was coming to an end.

But I'm grateful that it isn't over yet. In a way, today is its own kind of New Year. A "second chance" type of thing. I'm excited about that and I will embrace the opportunities of the future. Now, I guess there isn't a commonly known prediction for the world's end...so we'll all just have to live every day like it could be the last - inspirational, I know.

Before my office Christmas Party

Too bad I postponed some of my Christmas shopping, planning for the world to end before Christmas. Still so much to do!

  6. I typically watch the news only for coverage after something has happened. I don't typically watch the news because it's so depressing to me.
