Movies, skylines, & food - oh my! {flicks on 5th}

Although some people may say "no one goes to the movies anymore,"that's just not true. Marvel's The Avengers has grossed over $550 million in theaters so...someone is going to see movies :) I'm not a huge action or comic book fan, but I even saw the movie with my parents and enjoyed the overall cinematic experience.

Atlanta does movie viewing a little bit differently than the average theater...

Flicks on 5th - I went to my first Flicks on 5th in 2009 as a Tech freshman orientation participant (the perks of going to school in the city), and I absolutely loved it! The event takes place from 7-11pm every Wednesday during June (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th; rain date July 11th) and involves a FREE film screening, popcorn, and dinner specials provided by some of the surrounding restaurants. The film is shown on a giant screen that is mounted on the 5th Street Bridge by Technology Square. It's a one of a kind experience to view a movie outside, surrounded by great restaurants, on Georgia Tech's beautiful campus, with Atlanta's skyline in the background. Be sure to bring a blanket and pillows to sit on!

Movie line-up:
June 6th: Mission Impossible 4 (PG-13)
June 13th: The Vow (PG-13)
June 20th: Footloose (PG-13)
June 27th: Happy Feet Two (PG)
