Magnolia Plantation & Gardens {Charleston, SC}

So by now you understand my obsession with Charleston, especially the downtown area. But another really neat aspect of Charleston and several other cities in South Carolina? The plantations and historic homes.

During slavery in the U.S., plantations were worked by black slaves and indentured servants who were often mistreated. Although this is a part of American history that people don't always like to talk about, it still took place and I think it's important to learn about all aspects of history. My family and I have visited several plantations in South Carolina and have learned about the families who own(ed) them and their history.

This time, we visited Magnolia Plantation & Gardens and it was beyond beautiful.

 I took probably 100 photos but limited myself to only putting a few on Instagram and just a few in this post. If you're ever in Charleston, stop by! It was so worth it.

So. Pretty.

P.S., I'm taking the GRE today so that I can apply for grad school, wish me good luck! :)

  1. Gorgeous pics! I'm pretending I'm there lol.

    If it's your first time taking the GRE, just remember it's better to make an educated guess than to leave it blank and R-E-L-A-X! Good luck, I'm sure you will do great!
