This is a big deal (for me). I don't think I've ever gone more than a few days without eating chicken or turkey. And I along with a friend have decided to eat like pescatarians for 19 days. But I'm pushing myself and going to attempt this diet for the entire month of March. This diet change officially started yesterday, March 1. So far, it's going well! But I know I will be challenged and tempted by my favorite meals that include turkey or chicken.
I know that many health issues faced by Americans come from eating red meats, and I do want to continue improving my health. For now, I'm looking up delicious pescatarian recipes and restaurants in Atlanta, naturally. I'm hoping this month of no meat will lead to a complete lifestyle transformation of being a pescatarian. We'll see! I'll be sharing my journey throughout the month.

Are you a vegetarian or pescatarian?
Or do you know someone who is?
As a vegetarian, I always hate when people go "do you eat fish? that's not meat". If only people used the term pescatarian more often
ReplyDeleteI'm not a vegetarian, but I do avoid red meat at all costs. Good luck on your adventure! You are much braver than I am :)

Way to go Vett! I've basically cut red meat out of my diet but I've never really been able to resist turkey or chicken. I have friends that are vegans and I respect them for that. I've tried the pescatarian diet but didn't last a week. It's hard especially here but I do want to try it again...just not yet.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with!

I'm a proud vegan! But it started off as vegetarian. So far, so good. I really think that we eat meat out of habit but with this journey you can train yourself to love other things that don't include meat and even find some really cool meat alternatives. Good luck with your month...I see a vegetarian in the making! lol

Hello dear, I don't know any pescatarian. I think it's important to change our diet and avoid falling into a routine, because the key of a healthy metabolism is a variegated diet. Good luck with your resolutions!
