Perfection in salad form. With my clean eating posts, I get lots of great emails with questions, comments, suggestions - thank you! I've been getting questions about salads. Haha, seriously. Like what's my favorite salad. Here it is.
This was my dinner last night and it was as great as ever.
I think great salads can have a variety of delicious and nutritious toppings, but these are the standard salad mixings that I prefer: romaine lettuce or spinach, cucumber, tomatoes, avocado, red onions, grilled chicken.
I like pretty much any type of dressing or juice (lemon, lime, etc.) on top.
What's your favorite salad? I'm always looking for new mixings to try!
Hey, don't forget bulk-buy beans and grains. Cheap and filling!

Clean eating? I'm so glad I found someone that does that! :D I'm a vegan and I try to eat clean as much as I can, and it seems like all my husband does is gorge on junk food. :P This salad looks awesome. I'm going to go make one to eat now.

Hi Vett,
ReplyDeleteSo nice to meet you! Love your blog; very refreshing...as is your colourful salad here, today! I like your choice of veggies and of course, the grilled chicken adds protein and a bit of spice. The only thing I would leave out is the avocado, never took a liking to it. I would also add some kind of cheese, maybe feta and a dash of oregano! Enjoy!
Thanks so much for visiting Poppy View; hope to see you soon!
