Labor Day Weekend in ATL

It's a holiday weekend in ATL, fantastic! There are tons of things going on in the city, and some people are traveling elsewhere for Labor Day. If you're saving gas (which is about $4/gallon now) here are some fun ideas for this weekend. Happy Labor Day weekend! Enjoy <3

Enjoy activities, food, drinks, books, meet authors and more!

Uptown Comedy Corner is always packed and a laugh out loud great time! Spend your weekend laughing with friends!

 "In partnership with the City of Atlanta Parks, Recreation and Bureau of Cultural Affairs, Piedmont Park Conservancy's Program Department will host the Green Market, a local farmers market serving Midtown’s population with local goodness, every Saturday morning, from 9:00am to 1:00pm at Piedmont Park's 12th Street entrance gate."

20,000 views, thank you!

I can't believe that my blog now has over 20,000 views. I'm super grateful and shocked that people have read and enjoyed my posts. I started blogging at the beginning of the summer as a way to keep writing (my passion) while school was out. My laptop had just been stolen and even though I was really upset, I was very grateful for everything else in life and wanted to write about it. Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog. Forever I love Atlanta and you! <3

Rainy ATL {rain day options}

All of this rain is insane. I'm really praying for the people in danger of being seriously affected by Hurricane Isaac. We're only getting a small taste of this storm here in Atlanta, but it's important to be prepared. I always keep my umbrella in the side pocket of my book bag, a rain jacket in my car, and rain boots in my closet! I've picked some of my favorite rainy day (rainy week) options -- stay safe & dry <3!

Watch trends

I used to refuse to wear watches. Up until last summer, I thought they were pointless and insisted on just using my cell phone to tell time. Then I finally realized that watches are not just a tool used to tell time, but they're also an accessory that can be worn every day! After the end of my term as a freshman orientation leader, I treated myself to a Michael Kors tortoise watch with the glitz surrounding the face -  it matches my personality :)

American Apparel Watches

Michael Kors watches were really hot last summer and I guess they still are because I'm still seeing people buy new ones, they're beautiful! But I understand and support not wanting the same product as everyone else so I've picked some of my favorite watches (Michael Kors and others). Enjoy <3!

ATL skyline images

One reason I'm so in love with Atlanta is because of the beautiful views. I love the Atlanta skylines (Midtown, Downtown, Buckhead) - all great. I took a simple shot of Midtown while riding to dinner with my roommate. Skyline pictures make great computer backgrounds, phone backgrounds, cover photos, posters, etc.! Pick your favorite edited version <3

Tiffany & Co. Themed {wedding}

My cousin got married in Atlanta last weekend and it was a beautiful event! I was so happy to be in the wedding and to share the special day with the new couple. My cousin, Keke, had a Tiffany & Co. themed wedding - yes, brilliant! But they called it Cade & Co. (the groom's last name). I only love themes when they are done the right way, and this wedding was beyond fabulous. I'll definitely be having a Tiffany & Co. themed dinner/party in the future. Check out some photos from the special day!

With Keke, the bride!

Why {dorian} loves ATL

Dorian

College student

Why do you love ATL:

I love Atlanta because it is the home to a myriad of people and places. No day in Atlanta is the same because I have the privilege of coming across the most interesting individuals. Atlanta is my home and has been for 20 years. There are so many cultures and styles that were born right in the heart of this city that now contribute to history in some way. No matter where I end up in life, Atlanta will always be my first love.

What's your favorite place in ATL:

My favorite place in ATL is the High Museum. There are always different exhibits to visit and each time I go I learn something new. The art there is so vivid and the KAWS exhibit in particular is full of vibrant pieces.
